While playing the Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War campaign, you will eventually accomplish a mission called Operation Chaos. In this mission, players will have to decipher a floppy disk, but they will need to find a secret code and passphrase to do so. In this guide, we will introduce you to Operation Chaos Floppy Code and Passphrase so that you can crack it and complete the mission.

How to decrypt floppy disk in Black Ops Cold War Operation Chaos

This mission has three stages that you must complete. The first requires you to gather three tests, the second involves cracking the floppy, and the third and final step requires players to crack the password on the floppy.

It should be noted here that the decryption code and passphrases on the floppy will be random and will change from player to player. As such, we can't give you a definitive answer that works for everyone, so follow the steps below.

Step 1: get all three tests.

There are three tests you must find before you can do anything else. You will find each of them in the locations shown below:

A coded message

Mission: "Nowhere to run."
Interact with Qasim, and you will automatically receive the encrypted message.

Observer registration

Mission: "Red light, green light."
Inside the bar.

Station broadcast numbers

Mission: "Brick in the wall."
Find an audio reel in the area before freeing the prisoner.

Black Ops Cold War Operation Chaos Step 2 - Decryption of the floppy disk

Once you have all three tests, you should now understand the code.

Look first at "Coded Message," and you will see a series of red and blue digits. What you need to do here is determine the sequence of the red and blue numbers. They are different for each color. Once you figure this out, just write down the missing numbers, marked with a "?" In the newspaper.

Write down these missing numbers, and you will get a four-digit code. Compare them to the station's digital broadcast and use your four-digit code to get the corresponding city name.

This is the first thing you will need to type on the "Diskette Decryption" screen in Black Ops Cold War.

Step 3 - Passphrase from Operation Chaos Disk

The third and final step requires you to select the "Coded Journal." You should notice that several of the letters in the title are in red. Combine these red letters, and you will get the name of a city.

Now go back to the digital broadcast of the station and look for the code that corresponds to the name of this city. Enter this code into the second floppy decryption screen, and you will solve the puzzle.
