Alongside the next generation comes the 2020 entry to the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops Cold War. After its absence from Modern Warfare, Zombies returns once again, along with the usual set of multiplayer modes. So that you can easily team up, here is everything you need to know how to play with friends in CoD Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer & Zombies.
You will be able to choose which mode you want to play in from the Black Ops Cold War main menu, but the way you join your friends is the same for everyone unless you want to play split-screen.
How to play with friends in CoD Black Ops Cold War
You need to press the triangle if you are on PlayStation 4 or PS5 (AND Xbox consoles) to bring up the Social menu.
There it should show who on your friend's list is online and playing CoD Black Ops Cold War. From there, just press X / A to bring up the options and start the game process with the friends you want to play with.
Select "Invite to Party," and a notification will be sent to them. All you have to do is wait for them to join. If you are playing with someone on another system/platform, you will first need to add their Activision username.
Once they do, you should see them in the lobby with your operator, and they can participate in an online match together, be it multiplayer or zombies.
