To get the Invocation of Watase Masaru in Yakuza Like a Dragon, you will have to meet some conditions.

The first is to advance through the game's main story to the point where you must protect Watase and Dojima Daigo after they announce the dissolution of their respective families. This requires you to survive a few fights, so make sure you are well stocked with healing items to avoid unnecessary death.

Once you have passed these fights, you will be entitled to an exhibition before regaining control of the main character, Kasuga Ichiban. When you regain control, you will receive a message from Kamulop, a former member of the Tojo clan disguised as one of Yokohama's pets. He will tell you that Daigo and Watase are available as Summons if you are willing to trade something for him for their information.

How to get Tojo Clan Crests

This brings us to the second condition for Masaru Watase to be summoned in Yakuza Like a Dragon: you must bring Kamulop 50 Tojo Clan Crests and exchange them for their details Poundmates.

These crests can be achieved by finding them scattered throughout the game's cities, Yokohama, Kamurocho, and Sotenbori, or defeating powerful enemies in battle. The latter method can be particularly effective as long as you are strong enough to enter the game's toughest underground dungeons, where strong enemies are more common.

Use the method that best suits your needs, and once you have 50 Tojo Clan Shields, meet Kamulop at the Grande Blu Marino Hotel in the northeast corner of Yokohama. Talk to him, then scroll to the bottom of his exchange list to find the information on Watase's Poundmates.

Select it and exchange the 50 Tojo Clan Shields needed to get it. Once you do, you will be notified that Watase is now available to be summoned into battle.

What does Watase Masaru's summoning Yakuza do as a dragon?

What the Watase Masaru Summons does in Yakuza Like a Dragon is a bit different from other high-level Summons.

For the hefty cost of ¥ 1,000,000, Watase will appear to take an enemy of your choice to the ground with a 100 hit combo, dealing an extreme amount of bludgeoning damage. This will kill all but the strongest enemies in the game, and those that survive will be dealt with a massive reduction in their attack power.
