The official Genshin Impact 1.1 patch notes are here. We tell you what is in the first major update.

It won't be long before Genshin Impact's first major update is released. Patch 1.1 brings a host of new content and improvements that players have been hoping for in recent weeks. The story also progresses, and there are new characters available. Some can be earned through play; others must be obtained through the "prayer" system.

We'll tell you about the highlights of the November 11 update, and then we've prepared the official patch notes for you.

Patch 1.1 highlights

New Characters: Some new characters are playable in Genshin Impact. These are:

Zhongli, a geographic user
Childe, a Hydro user with bow
Xinyan with a claymore element and pyro
Diona with a bow and cryo energy

By the way, Childe (Tartaglia) tears the banner off. The chance of getting it increases on the banner, as does the chance of these 4-star characters: Diona, Beidou, and Ningguang.

The two characters Xinyan and Zhongli, are probably only on the next banner.

New questline in Liyue: The main story in Liyue continues. After the premature ending, he finally continues, and we find out what happened to the geo archon and what machinations are behind the events in Liyue Harbor.

New Calling System: There is now a reputation system for Liyue and Moon Stand. You can reach different reputation levels in cities and thus unlock new bonuses. That could be a reduced price at the dealer and new cosmetic glider options or alchemy recipes.

Resin system improvements: The maximum resin limit is slightly increased, so you can save more resin before you have to spend it. At the same time, there is the possibility of converting the resin to "condensed resin", thereby enhancing the rewards for the best of the elements and spheres. You can then spend 40 resins to receive double the rewards. This saves you time and allows you to "pile up" resin and spend a lot in one day.

However, criticism of the Harz system persists.

You can condense resin soon and use it later for spheres.

Primal Rock for Everyone: Finally, there is small compensation for all players because they are offline for a few hours to apply the patch. Everyone who has reached at least Adventure Rank 5 can extract 300 times as many Veterans from their posts after maintenance work. This can be used to buy prayers or replenish the original resin.
