Apex Legends Season 7: Legends Tier List And Best Characters Guide

Apex Legends offers a selection of heroes, the legends. Which of the Apex Legends legends are the best options, and which ones should you keep your hands away from to get the victory? Find out in our tier list for Season 7!

Each Legend in Apex Legends has three abilities: an active, a passive, and maximum ability. Since you currently always play Apex Legends on a team, abilities that benefit the entire party are particularly useful.

Otherwise, all heroes are the same in terms of their values, only differing in appearance, height (and therefore in the area of impact), and abilities.

This is how the Tier List is weighted: Before each game, you have to choose a hero. The characters that are currently available are divided into levels here. The higher a legend is on the animal, the more useful it will be with its abilities to the team.

The highest level is currently level S, the last. Level A is also very good. Tier B heroes are fine, but they are more useful for the situation. On the other hand, in the C-Tier, some legends only have limited meaning and, therefore, are more for lovers.

How does the rating come about? The tier list is based on tier lists from Dexerto, The Loadout, GameRant, and data from the Apex Legends Tracker Network (view source). The list was compiled with Apex expert Florian Franck, who has now played Apex for over 600 hours and has cleared all battle passes up to level 110 so far.

S-Tier: the strongest

The heroes here are so good that they actually have a place on every team.

Lifeline

Who is Lifeline? Lifeline is a lively paramedic. It is completely designed for healing and is ideal for anyone who likes to support their team.

Why is Lifeline so good? With Lifeline on the team, you don't have to worry about healing. You can use your healing drone after each battle to replenish the entire team. This is also extremely useful when half-dead wobbles from the area to the safety ring and then immediately heal.

With Lifeline on the team, the chances of survival are greatly increased, and, especially in the intermediate and final matches, it is important to get back in shape quickly.

Lifeline can also open blue supply crates on the map and then hold two additional items.

Additionally, Lifeline creates a shield when other players are revived and revives them faster than others. The Lifelines DDM drone takes over the rebirth. So you can return to battle while the drone automatically revived your friend. Your Ultimate is extremely useful and will drop one of the coveted Defensive Material Supply Packs right at your location.

So there's really no reason not to have this character on the team. Only Lifeline's slim stature ensures that she takes 5% more damage than normal Great Legends.

So there is no reason not to have this character on the team.

Ghost

Who is Wraith? Wraith is a pale, mysterious woman who can shift into alternate dimensions. He is an offensive character who can optimally flank opponents.

Why is Wraith so good? Wraith has the smallest hitbox of all the legends, making him the hardest hero to hit. His own locomotion in a crouching position ("Naturo Walk") has been replaced with new animations, but Wraith is the most played Legend in Apex Legends.

He also has a sense of danger that warns him of enemies. She can send this to the team and warn about ambushes.

For this purpose, Wraith can configure portals as the ultimate, which the entire team can quickly move from one location to another. With his tactical ability, he becomes invulnerable and almost invisible. Ideal for taking the enemy by surprise or for fleeing quickly. These abilities make Wraith extremely versatile, which is why hardly any team misses them right now. One downside is that Wraith, like Lifeline and Pathfinder, takes 5% more damage through the narrow impact area.

Hound

Who is Bloodhound? Bloodhound is an explorer and does not identify with any gender. It can track opponents and is good for teams that are careful, but also aggressive advances. In particular, his ultimate master of the hunt is ideal for aggressive shoving.

Why is Bloodhound so good? Bloodhound is barely level S. Because the hero is played quite frequently and has some useful abilities. However, it has no abilities with which it can deal direct damage.

Due to the huge benefit of his "Eye of the All-Father" tactical skill, he catapulted himself from tier B to tier S. The cooldown has been adjusted, and the skill can now be used much more frequently.

You can actively track hidden enemies and traps. It also recognizes the traces of the opponents and their age. His ultimate ability makes him faster and makes his opponents stand out.

Bloodhound has been played more frequently on professional esports teams since Season 6.

Bloodhound is primarily used to track enemies; his tactical ability can also be used during his ultimate "Lord of the Hunt" ability.

Level A: useful in all respects

At level A, you will find the best heroes in the game, but they are not as strong as those at level S. So A-Heroes is always a good idea.

Gibraltar

Who is Gibraltar? Gibraltar is a tank, and above all, it is there to shoot, protect the team, and distract the enemy.

Why is Gibraltar so good? Gibraltar is quite useful on certain troops; for example, when it is repaired by Lifeline and Wraith or Bangalore provides enough offensive power.

You can protect yourself from the fire with your shield and shoot. This also makes him a very good sniper as he can aim in peace and does not care about counterattack at first. There is also a stationary shield dome and orbital bombardment. His tactical "protective dome" ability and peak "defensive bombardment" ability have been weakened in recent seasons. Still, "Gibby" is a very popular legend, and his passive ability that "Waffenschild" locks 75HP. Like a coarse mop, it is provided with a buff that per se allows it to take 5% less damage. However, his hitbox is bigger than most of the other legends.

In general, Gibraltar ranks at Tier A. Since he can take so much damage, he's more forgiving of tactical mistakes and makes a good rookie hero.

Mirage

Who is Mirage? Mirage is a character that you currently only get through real money or long free spins. He is a noisy, tactical hero who confuses opponents with illusions and requires some skill.

Why is Mirage so good? All Mirage does is send hologram images of itself. The hologram image can be controlled and takes over all the inputs the player makes. Since Season 7, the hologram images also have 45 hit points. However, they cannot be used as shields as shots go through them.

Mirage automatically disguises her passive ability "Now you see me ..." when using a respawn transmitter. He also disguises himself and his teammates when he revives.

An image appears with its active ability; if it falls, it confuses the opponents with additional images, which it automatically sends. On the other hand, his Ultimate lets go of an entire troop of holograms and make him invisible as well. So play Mirage if you like to make jokes and think tactically smartly.

Octane

Who is Octane? Octavio "Octane" Silva is a speed junkie and the first new Legend to Apex Legends. It was implemented with Season 1 and the Battle Pass and has been involved ever since.

Pioneer

Who is Pathfinder? Pathfinder is a fun and lovable robot. It can easily traverse even rough terrain and is very mobile. At the beginning of the game, he had one of the biggest hitboxes ever.

Why is Pathfinder so good? Some time ago, the Hitbox of Pathfinders model was adjusted. Also, there was a nerf to his tactical and ultimate ability.

But his grappling hook allows him to move quickly and draw opponents into him. This is a useful quality and, most importantly, fun.

His passive ability allows him to hack computers and find the closest safe ring. This ability is rarely useful.

His Ultimate creates useful zip lines. With Season 7 and the new "Olympus" map, Pathfinder's zip lines are a more useful addition. Olympus is a very extensive map with many chasms. These changes give Pathfinder a spot at Tier A again. Pathfinder also takes 5% more damage through its small hitbox.

Wattson

Who is Wattson? Wattson is a static defender and can use her tactical ability to build electric fences that damage enemies while slowing them down.

Why is Wattson so good? Currently, the only Legend that can carry two Ultimate Accelerators in the same slot. His ultimate ability, "Interceptor Mast," is fully charged with his passive "Idea." Wattson can erect up to three interceptor masts at the same time, which disappear after 90 seconds. These carry shields of other legends. Bangalore and Gibraltar's ultimate grenades and abilities are repelled and no longer have any effect.

Reduced the cooldown of his electric fences near the generator. As a result, Wattson has taken a high priority on esports teams. Especially in buildings, its electric fences and Inceptor mast offer a huge tactical advantage. The interceptor mast is not suitable in an open field, as it can be destroyed by the enemy.

In our Apex Legends Guide for Wattson, you will learn more about his abilities and how to use them.

Level B: useful, but depending on the situation

Tier B contains heroes who are also useful. But compared to level A, his abilities are not equally useful in all situations. Therefore, they are rated slightly less high. However, in the right situation, his skills are still very strong.

Horizon

Who is Horizon? Horizon has been around since Season 7. It can be unlocked for 750 Apex Coins or 12,000 Legend Tokens. With his suction robotic companion NEWT, he tries to get a spot on the animal list—currently only enough for level B.

Why is Horizon so good? With its passive "space walking" ability, airborne control is improved, and the impact of falls is reduced with Horizon's custom spacesuit. Combined with the "Gravitational Lift" tactical skill, a tactical advantage can be achieved in heated battles.

With the gravity lift, gravity is reversed, and players are carried upward and given a boost as they exit the lift. Horizon's latest ability is the "black hole." Activating NEWT A small black hole is created, attracting players and returning them via a gravitational wave.

Knocked out opponents can come out of cover. With a well-placed grenade, death is guaranteed. Grenades are also attracted to the black hole.

Additionally, the black hole spoils Apex Legends' typical evasive moves in battle and slows down all opponents. So they almost became shooting gallery figures.

Bangalore

Who is Bangalore? Bangalore is an expert in soldiers and weapons. It is designed for fast and aggressive advancement and is ideal for offensive players.

Why is Bangalore so good? Bangalore is extremely useful as it has a good mix of skills. Their smoke grenades cloud the area and allow you to advance well protected. Just be careful that no Bloodhound finds you in the mist anyway.

If you get shot at yourself, Bangalore's passive skill career step kicks in, and you become faster and can quickly find cover or assault the enemy position.

Finally, with his artillery strike, he can take the enemy out of cover as the last, ideally combined with the smoke grenade to confuse the enemy as much as possible.

Bangalore is the optimal offensive assault character in the game and should find a place on many teams.

Crypto

Who is Crypto? Crypto introduced himself as a surveillance expert and hacker in season three. It can be unlocked for 750 Apex Coins or 12,000 Legend Tokens. With his tactical ability, Crypto uses a flying drone to spot enemies within a 30-meter radius. Also, with the drone, you can collect banners of fallen comrades. Comrades will immediately respawn at the spawn point.

Why are cryptocurrencies so good? Crypto works very well on well-tested equipment. Through various benefits, Crypto is solidly ranked at Tier B. If the drone is destroyed, the cooldown is forty seconds.

What is extraordinary is its maximum capacity, "EMP Drones." Crypto's drone creates an EMP blast that damages shields, slows enemies, and disables traps.

Crypto is a pretty passive legend. Due to his drone's recognition, he doesn't really fit the fast and intense gameplay of Apex Legends. It is more in the last row and provides clarifications.

Wall

Who is Rampart? Rampart is a resourceful modder and has been involved in Apex since Season 6. It can be unlocked for 750 Apex Coins or 12,000 Legend Tokens.

Why is Rampart so good? Rampart has firmly established himself at Tier B. He acts like a defensive legend and can lay down a reinforced cover. This tactical ability blocks enemy shots and reinforces outgoing shots. His passive ability shows which weapons Rampart prefers to use: LMG. The "modified magazine" increases the magazine capacity and enables faster reloading when using the LMG and the minigun.

"Sheila" is a stationary machine gun, and Rampart can place her anywhere. The minigun can also be installed in new vehicles, called Trident. Other players, but also opponents, can also use the minigun. It has a large ammo capacity and a long loading time. An infinite number of recharges are possible with "Shella."

Anyone who plays Rampart needs a lot of tactical understanding. Reinforced covers must be placed tactically to gain an advantage. On the "Olympus" map, Rampart is very useful for blocking narrow entrances to stop rival squads from running through the area.

She-wolf

Who is Loba? Loba has been a part of the game since Season 5. She can be unlocked for 750 Apex Coins or 12,000 Legend Tokens. As a thief of high society, her passive gaze can detect epic (purple) and legendary (gold) loot through nearby walls and supply crates. "The thief's best friend" is her tactical ability and allows Loba to teleport to reach hard-to-reach positions or to safety.

Why is Loba so good? In season 6, the teleporter received a partial error, and Loba slipped further down the tier list.

Black Market Boutique is a wearable device and Loba's maximum ability to teleport to nearby loot inventory. Each allied or enemy Legend can select up to two items. Ammo has not been included in this limit since Season 7. So you can fill your pockets with ammo at will. Guns and ammo are often missing after respawning. Thanks to Loba, a well-rehearsed team is ready for action again in no time after a comeback.

Tier C: below expectations

The C-Tier contains the heroes that currently fall short of expectations. But even a C-tier hero has useful abilities in the right situations, and if you can deal with him well, this choice is legitimate too.

Caustic

Who is caustic? Caustic is another control hero. The sadistic psychopath sets poison gas traps and knocks opponents out of cover with gas grenades. If you want to play it, you have to unlock it or buy it for real money.

Why is Caustic so good? Caustic abilities are highly dependent on the situation. Gas traps are easy to see, and if they are not hidden in smart places, hardly anyone will come across them.

His passive ability allows him to see through gas clouds and makes him immune. Good, but nothing more. Other heroes have better abilities there.

His last is a gas grenade. But it doesn't do a lot of damage and is especially well suited for taking opponents out of cover.

Caustic is, therefore, a hero that you should only play if you use your traps really badly, as one player has impressively demonstrated. Most teams are more likely to choose higher-tier heroes with useful abilities.

But no matter what the Tier List says: if you have fun with a hero or are particularly good with him, then play him too. Also, the developers constantly review the heroes, so the list can change much later.

Revenant

Who is Revenant? The Synthetic Nightmare Revenant has been available in Apex Legends since Season 4. It can be unlocked for 750 Apex Coins or 12,000 Legend Tokens.

Why is Revenant so good? Due to some nerfs in Season 6, Revenant is no longer too interesting for many players. His tactical ability "Silence" casts and deals damage in the area of impact and disables enemy equipment and abilities. With his passive ability "Stalker," Revenant moves faster while crouching and can scale higher walls than other legends.

Teams that like to play aggressively often choose Revenant: with his ultimate "Death Totem" ability, he conjures up a totem that saves the user from death for a set amount of time. Whoever activates the totem turns into a shadow for 30 seconds. Shadows have no armor and cannot heal themselves. If a shadow goes out, it will return to the totem and return with a maximum of 50 HP.

Revenant had some high phases, but at the moment, it is of no interest to most players and therefore only at level C.

I wish I had known these 17 Apex Legends tips beforehand.
