Destiny 2: tier accumulation and rewards for Beyond Light, is it worth it?
The Guardians have a week left to prepare for the Beyond Light expansion in Destiny 2. DLPrivateServer explains why it can hardly prepare this time. But it also gives you advice if you want to start the new DLC with the best possible preparation.
This is why you shouldn't level anything anymore: If you want to spend your final days in Season 11 infusing your gear and collecting top loot to boost your power level a bit more, you shouldn't do that.
- As soon as Beyond Light begins, all Guardians receive a power level increase to 1,050.
- The current cap, the maximum upper cap, in Season 11, is 1,060.
- Even the new Guardians walk into the DLC, almost like the strongest players do right now.
- In Beyond Light, the soft limit is 1200 - that means every green drop takes you to a level in no time.
So don't waste time leveling up.
At Beyond Light, you can quickly find better equipment.
Collecting tokens doesn't help either: So far, it's been the case that "rich" Guardians could very quickly gain some levels of power in a new DLC or a new season. After Beyond Light, this was made possible through the token system that will do nothing for you.
- If you run to Shaxx or other NPCs in Beyond Light and expect high-level gear for your token, we have bad news: Starting in Season 12, the gear you get from collections or tokens will have a lower power level than in seasons. . prior to.
- The items you get for tokens will be 20 power levels below your level.
- The collections equipment is even limited to power level 1,050.
To compensate, Bungie introduces a new system where your favorite activities add so much more to your power level. You can learn more about the power level as of November 10 here:

Should I rack up raids in preparation for Beyond Light?
Rewards have always been considered a safe bet when it comes to preparing for new content. But this time you have to consider a lot if you want a real advantage.
That speaks for raid collecting.
The experience you gain from redeeming a reward does not directly affect your power level. However, the experience benefits two important aspects:
1. The artifact:
- The rewards level the seasonal artifact of the new season of the hunt
- The artifact gives you a passive level bonus that is independent of power level.
- You will always find special mods on the artifact - they are among the best the season has to offer and allow for solid builds.
2. The season pass:
- The season pass also levels all experience sources, including raids.
- Rewards such as armor, weapons, engrams, and exotics await you in the season pass.
- On the one hand, this team often has solid stats; on the other hand, the team is good for power level.
For Gathering Raids, it also means that the current Season 11 lasted five months after its extension. So now you don't need any additional experience or rewards. So you can simply take your forays into Beyond Light with you.
However, there are some important things to consider.
That speaks against collecting rewards.
Bungie knows what season your raids are from. This means that many of the rewards are at the power level of the season the raid originated in.
- For example, if you deliver your raids from the current season 11 to Zavala in Beyond Light, your reward will only be at the level of season 11.
- Then you will get a great reward for the whole week of Zavala.
- In this case, it would be better to work on the raids that it will accept from November 10.
Here's how to fix the problem: There's a little trick you can use to gain experience from old raids and not miss out on powerful new rewards.
- To do this, you are now collecting raids and are not gifting them at the beginning of Beyond Light.
- Instead, do the new raids first, and only when you have a powerful reward from an NPC will you redeem the raids from Season 11.
- This gives you experience for your new artifact and the Season Pass but does not harm power leveling.
This should be taken into account when conducting raids: You shouldn't collect some raids and take them with you in Beyond Light:
- Better not to collect PvP and Gambit rewards from Season 11. In the past, these rewards could sabotage your power level
- With ranks where old PvP or Gambit raids were involved, you will only receive old rewards
- The rewards for locations that disappear with the DLC start will almost certainly be lost, so don't waste your time here.
- Event raids should disappear from inventory, so redeem them before the 6 pm reset
- Some weekly raids also disappear with each weekly reset; this includes, for example, ETZ.
What we really recommend as preparation is to get the best weapons now. Because many of them will disappear when the new DLC appears:
Destiny 2: the 13 best weapons to get before Beyond Light
Anyone who is an unrepentant forage hoarder should be sure of these rewards:
- Vanguard: Daily Raids
- Gunsmith: daily and weekly raids
- Eris Morn (Moon): Daily and Weekly Raids
- Desk of Enchantment (Moon): Daily and Weekly Raids
- ETZ: daily raids
- Nessus: Daily Raids
Now what, to collect or not? Ultimately, you must answer this question yourself. Bungie has already cut down on prep. We only recommend the effort if you really want to prepare to open the new raid on November 21.
But keep in mind that the entire collection could be penniless when the Beyond Light patch notes appear.
Are you preparing specifically for November 10? Do you even have advice for the other Guardians? Share them in the comments.
What you can do in preparation is clean your safe. Bungie has now confirmed that the transmogrification works on the collection.
