Pokémon GO: testers report: ten times more XP for fabulous launches

A new system is currently being tested in Pokémon GO to earn experience points. Various factions in the game now bring more XP. What are the changes?

What kind of system is that? For a few hours now, Pokémon GO has been testing new XP rewards for various game tasks. In reality, these tests should only be conducted for selected players in Australia and New Zealand. But Niantic extended the tests to select players around the world. It is not clear how one is selected for this.

How much XP is there now to catch, hatch, and develop?

This was noted: On Reddit, the trainers have already collected their feedback on the new rewards. This will be extended even further in the coming days. Even the first results are exciting. You get a lot of EPs for great releases.

This is exciting: Especially the fabulous litters bring much more EP due to the changes. In the reddit thread, players write about this new XP value:

"Okay, wow. Now is the time to finally learn to aim well."
"This is the best news in a long time (…)"

Many coaches are now excited to see what other EP changes there are. Many are waiting to see how many experiences point to the level of friendship with the friends of the game will bring. Currently, you receive 100,000 XP directly for reaching "Best Friends."

In some places, however, the coaches also observed that there were no minimal changes in EP earned or only minor changes. Therefore, it is not guaranteed that you will earn more experience points for friendship levels.

What do these changes mean?

That's why it's important: In Pokémon GO, raising the max level has long been an issue in the community. Some players have been at level 40 for years and can't go any further. For these people, in particular, it is exciting to know what happens next.

What we know about the new Max level in Pokémon GO

Niantic announced in 2019 that they were working on a new maximum level. But this should not simply become an important requirement of the PD.
In spring 2020, data miners found rewards for levels 41 to 50, but these are not officially confirmed.
In July 2020, Niantic released more details and explained that leveling up after level 40 feels different than before.
In October, data miners showed new special tasks that could be used to level.

It now remains to be seen what EP changes test players will discover in the hours and days to come.
