Bugsnax: Can you fast travel? Replied
The world of Bugsnax is divided into nine different biomes, each with a different theme and a selection of Bugsnax that you can catch. During some missions, you will have to travel to different locations to catch a particular creature and drink certain sauces. As you move from one area to another, the game will load, which may take a bit of time to get around. If you're bored of waiting times, here's everything you need to know to find out if you can fast-travel to Bugsnax.
Most of your trip will depart from Snaxburg, the island town of Snaktooth, where there are four ways to depart. You'll have access to them as you progress through the story, with a loading screen between each of them, which can be especially long if you're playing on a basic PS4.
Can you fast travel to Bugsnax?
In short, no, sadly, there is no fast travel system in Bugsnax. There is nowhere you can go to skip biomes, and none of the game's characters will offer you a way to jump to different locations.
What we recommend is planning your trips. If you need to collect multiple different Bugsnaxes at once, collect them in their travel order, rather than going back and forth between areas.
Also, be sure to fill your Slinger with sauce before traveling anywhere. There's nothing more boring than going to, say, Sizzling Sands and not having that fudge sauce you might need.
You can collect five of any sauce that you have already collected elsewhere on the Wampus farm in Snaxburg. Refuel before going elsewhere.
